Today things seem to be going back to their natural order, until it is swept off the floor again by questioning thoughts. The ideas seem misty still, but they are taking form. It is definetly words, text, I want to work with. Text and images, continuity, text without images besides the ones created by the floating in space of text (be it spoken or written), images continuing the text and no words, then words just as its pure materiality and no meaning, just the pure texture of words and the material images they create. So the idea is using words, images and space. How the words fit and organize themselves in space and how the audience can perceive the space created by the words... and the images.
How is it to arrive in a new place filled with words, or how is it to suddenly realize, in a familiar space the presence of new or old words, the new perception of an old familiar place. What are the feelings of arriving at a certain part of the text, or in another, what new images are created in relation to the space and the words. How are they different through perspective.
This is just the beggining.

Have you looked at Certain Fragments : Texts and Writings on Performance by Peggy Phelan and Tim Etchells, they have a copy in the Lib (course book section), and are you coming to the Forced Entertainment show and talk next week? Etchells and the company have an exciting approach to devising 'performance text', the book is full of exercises that might help spark some ideas and fill in some of the gaps.
