visual experimentations
(just like creating a new receipe and getting the full taste of it through the process)
tuesday I will put somethings up on the studios and see how they work. It will be the initial testing phase the very begining of developing and thinking visually some of these words and images that make me now. For this stage I chose a narrative. Actually, this narrative is the very first one I had chosen and due to my familiarity with it I believe it will make a good starting point. Through this work I enter a dark room and light a candle, through this work I hope to look at my project and see it all more clear, warmer, closer to accomplishment. No right or wrong, just choices.

the narrative
this is one day in a woman's life. One day which could be any day at all. However on this day she notices she is alive, she notices that there are people around her and she is surprised to notice it. And as she notices it, as these entirely new thoughts of common things flash through her head, they change the all familiar things, for she looks at them with new eyes. Suddenly her everyday ride seems like going through an entirely new path. So much so that she misses her stop and as she tries to head home it is only after a while that she realises which way to go. All familiar places seem to be inhabited by new words, new thoughts, new senses, which make them almost foreign.... even though they are her words and thoughts. They flood from the unexpected discovery of a new day.

a bit of the process
there is a lot more to the text than the narrative. Actually, I'd say the narrative is secondary, as the description of feelings and sensations take a major role on the text. There is a contrast between the street, where the realisation takes place, and the house, the intimate familiar space where every single detail is amplified. There is much to play with words and ideas.
